A Love Everlasting
by Jules

"So you wanna tell me about it?" Chris asked at lunch one day. Justin simply flashed him a confused stare, no idea what his best friend was talking about. He popped a few more fries into his mouth before speaking.

"Tell you about what?"

Chris' laugh was light, his eyes twinkling. "What the fuck else would I be asking you about Jup? Think about it, where were we the last time we saw each other?" Chris watched the blank look on the younger man's face change to one of recognition, a deep blush covering his cheeks. "Yeah junior. THAT'S what I'm talking about. So what's the deal?" He waited patiently for the explanation.

"Well ...you see ..." Justin had no idea what to say. How to explain this to Chris. It had been a huge shock to both sets of friends when he and Nick had admitted to them that they were together and totally in love. Both groups had expressed their disbelief and concern, stating that it wasn't the best idea and questioned if they'd thought things through. As both men defended their relationship as well as their right to do what they wanted because it was their lives, not the group's, their friends eventually gave their support, wishing them luck. From that point on, Nick and Justin had decided that their relationship was their business, not anyone else's. So in that, they didn't often divulge personal information. But again, it wasn't that often that anyone asked. "Why?" Justin questioned, raising his eyebrows in suspicion at Chris's sudden interest in his and Nick's relationship.

Chris sighed. "Contrary to what you believe Jup, we support you two being together. I mean... I understand that we didn't exactly take it well when you both told us... " Chris knew that was an understatement, and he knew Justin knew it as well, but he couldn't go back and change the past. "...but it's not like we're out to get you. We care what happens with the two of you, and we support your relationship. As much as we thought it was going to end badly ... quickly and badly, we're glad that we were wrong."

Justin nodded, listening silently. His stomach was jumpy and his lunch was threatening to resurface.

"You... you both just had so many things going against the relationship and we wanted you to know ...really know what you were getting into." Chris paused, trying to think about what he wanted to say. "You have to know that we love you both and after seeing you together for so long, it's clear how perfect you are together. You were made for each other."

"Thank you." Justin was shocked by Chris' admission. In the entire time he and Nick had been together, no one had said that to them. Both groups of men had let them know with their actions that they were supportive, but it was like ...taboo to discuss it. Justin realized just how much he needed to hear it.

"It's forever huh?"

Justin nodded and a goofy grin spread across his face. Just thinking about his lover put a tingle and warmth into his body. "God Chris. I love him so much. I love him more than I've ever loved anyone in my life."

"Good. You both deserve it." They sat in silence, milling their own thoughts over in their heads until Chris

spoke again. "I guess you were right though."

"About what?"

"How persuasive he is. I mean, I'm secure enough in my sexuality to admit that he's a hot guy. Beautiful even." Chris paused as Justin giggled. "I think it's the pouty lips, smile ...eyes..."

"Tongue ... nose ... ass ...arms ..co.." Justin added while Chris laughed and rolled his eyes. Justin found himself cut off by Chris' hands over his ears.

"ANYWAYS." They laughed together, the mood lightening. "But for him to get you to ... like that ... in public.."

Justin blushed at the memory, his groin tightening as well. It had been over three weeks since that night and still Justin felt the after effects. "I'm telling you Chris, I would do anything for him. I would go to the moon and back if that's what it took. If that's what he wanted."

Chris nodded his head. He knew that his best friend was not exaggerating. "But you know the really romantic part of it Jup?" Justin silently shook his head no. "He would do the same for you." Their eyes met and Chris could see the love Justin had for Nick.

"Yeah."

"I'm serious kid. It's all in how he looks at you. You should see it from an outside point of view. He loves you so fucking much. Even that night he couldn't take his eyes off of you. And I don't think it was just because you were dressed the way you were. It was because it was you."

Justin swooned at the memory. How it felt to have Nick's eyes on him all night. Hungry. "Yeah."

Both men picked up on Justin's avoiding Chris' original question but Justin didn't offer any explanation and Chris didn't push. If the younger man didn't feel like talking about it, that was his prerogative. But Chris didn't fail to notice how pink Justin's cheeks had gotten while discussing the topic and saw the look of hunger in his eyes. A sliver of regret passed through his mind and Chris wished that it were different. That Justin and Nick felt comfortable discussing their relationship openly with them. But the biting reaction they'd gotten had put a stop to that. As much as they did talk about, Chris knew that it wasn't a lot, and nothing critically important. He wondered what it was like for them to have to keep it as much of a secret as they did. The fans were one thing, but to not share it with your best friends must be really hard on them.

Justin saw the sad look on Chris' face and frowned. "It's not that we're embarrassed by what we do ... and it's not that we don't think you guys will understand. It's just hard...."

Chris held his hand up to stop Justin from going any further. "No need to explain. It's your life. I understand completely, I mean.. we fucked up. Plain and simple. And you guys don't want to put yourselves in that situation again. It's just that we love you both so much and we forget that you guys can make your own decisions. We're not used to you guys being so grown up.."

Silence filled the room and neither man knew how to react to that. After a bit of time passed by Chris spoke, grinning at Justin. "You were fucking hot though. I mean shit J, before I really got a good look and recognized you, I was about to either go and kick Carter's ass for cheating on you .... or kick it to get to you. Her. Whatever."

When Justin laughed, Chris chuckled and nodded his head.

"I'm serious J. You are one sexy woman. And I'm sure that the two of you .... well I can just imagine what happened after you both snuck out."

All Justin could do was smile. They finished their lunch and after a few hours of playing PS2, Chris regretfully had to leave. With promises to talk soon, and an inquiry of birthday plans, Chris was on his way out and Justin found himself alone. Thoughts of Nick on his mind.

The older man would be home for dinner. Justin had received a voice mail from Nick saying that his errands would only take him to about 6 and that he hoped that they could have dinner together. As if Justin would turn that down. While he cleaned up after himself and Chris, Justin's mind wandered to Nick's birthday. And then his own, 3 days later. He and Nick had thrown a few ideas out on the table, but nothing had been decided.

He ordered pizza at about 5:30, knowing that by the time Nick arrived it would be there. Sure enough, just as the pizza guy puled out of his driveway, Nick's expedition pulled in. Justin hurried to set up the den appropriately and greeted his lover at the door..

"Hey baby, what's up?" Nick felt himself pulled in for a lengthy kiss, Justin's tongue probing his mouth sensuously.

"Nothing Nicky. Justin pulled his lover in further, helping him out of his coat. "I got dinner... pizza." He giggled at Nick's grin. They made themselves comfortable on the couch, flipping the game on the TV while enjoying their dinner. When they were done, Justin snuggled in close to Nick, feeling his lovers' arms wrap around him protectively.

It was a commercial break when Nick's attention focused on the man in his arms. "How was your day?"

"Good. Chris came over. We had lunch and played video games." They shared a few kisses before he continued. "He asked about New Year's Eve. Wondered why I was wearing the dress." Nick stiffened and Justin held his breath.

"What did you say?"

"Nothing." Their eyes met and both men giggled.

"Nothing?"

"He wanted to know what was up with it. I just didn't think it was his business."

"You didn't think he'd want to know about how much you like seeing me in women's underwear ... how I dared you to wear it and how fucking kinky we are?"

Justin laughed loudly, his body shaking from it. "Exactly." Nick nodded in agreement.

"Yeah. I agree. It's definitely not something that I think they could handle knowing about us." Nick felt Justin's mouth on his neck, making it's way to his lips. When it arrived, their tongues battled erotically and he let out a whimper of arousal as Justin began to nibble on his lips and grind their erections together.

"He said ... he said that he's happy for us. That he's glad that we proved them wrong and ..." Nick heard the tremble in Justin's voice and tightened his hold on him.

"And what baby?"

"And that its' amazing how much in love we are. That he can see it..."

Nick reached over to gently stroke Justin's face, reveling in the softness of his skin. Silently he reached with his free hand to grab the convertor, pressing the mute button to leave them in silence.

"I didn't realize how good it would be to hear. Just having him say that he's proud of us and supports us..."

"No one's said it Jus. They've just assumed that we know." Nick understood how emotional Justin felt, because he felt it too.

"I do love you baby. I love you so much. No matter what happens, I will never love anyone the way I love you." Justin's voice was strong, his eyes locked on Nick's.

"I know J. I know because I feel the same way. You are in my heart, but my soul too." Nick paused to place a kiss on Justin's lips. "And no matter what, I'm going to love you forever."

Their mouths met in a desperately passionate kiss, Nick shifting his weight so that he was laying against the back of the couch. He was now half laying on Justin and both men groaned at the feel of their bodies pressed together tightly. Leisurely, they explored each others' bodies, taking the time to enjoy the sensations that their kisses and touches elicited.

Once the kisses died down and Nick shifted his weight again comfortably, he laid his head on Justin's chest. Justin's fingers ran gently through his hair and they sighed in content. "So babe?"

"Yeah J."

"What's up for our birthdays?" Justin could practically hear the smile break out on Nick's face and felt butterflies in his stomach. After a few seconds, Nick answered.

"Well... it's funny you should ask."
