Chris has one chance to do this right. He has been preparing for this day for what feels like forever. Even when he didn't believe in happily ever after, didn't think he'd get farther than working at Disney, deep down he prayed for this day.

The velvet box in his pocket weighs heavily against his leg, a reminder of what he was just about to do. Looking across the van his best friend smiles and nods at him, reminding Chris it was the right thing to do.

"What if.." Chris tries to say, cut off by Justin rolling his eyes. "But.." Again, Justin simply stares.

"If you don't want to do it, then don't." There's a challenge in the younger man's voice and Chris simply growls.

He does want to do it. Has for a long time. Since he and Nick started this crazy relationship that no one had thought would last past the first few days. Since the first time the blonde told him he loved him. It had been a while since someone had said it and meant it, and right then Chris knew it was forever.

He'd gone out and bought a gold band the next day, saving it for the right time.

The time had arrived.

In a flash, Chris is standing in Nick's dressing room, watching the blonde get dressed. Their eyes meet in the mirror and Nick grins. With shaking hands Chris extracts the box, holding it for Nick to see.

"Will you--"

"Yes."
