Pairing:Nick/JC

Rating: PG-13 borderline NC-17 I guess... but there's no smut

Warning:Slash warning. Bigroupal warning.

Feedback:I thrive on it!! - mailto:slash_me_baby@yahoo.com

Notes:Now this is based on the fact that Nick is actually supposed to be coming to Toronto next week for promotional stuff, but he's not scheduled at any radio stations or Much Music... so I'm making my own assumptions on his reasons for the trip. It is also based on the rumour that Lance has a condo here in the city. I don't know if he does for sure (thus my claiming it is a rumour), but it fits well with the story so I'm gonna go with it!! Again, hence the fiction!! It got a little schmoopy on me. Wasn't planning it, just snuck up in there.. *sigh * LOL

He was supposed to be promoting the new CD. That was his reasoning for going to Toronto for a day, maybe two. At least that's what he told The Firm and Jive. "Sure. Yeah, I'll go up to Canada, visit Toronto and pump up the single ...it'll be great."He had told them enthusiastically, his mind already on the trip to the great white north and what he would do while he was there.

"Kiss 92fm wants an interview. Tarzan Dan called this morning..." They phoned to tell him wanting confirmation to book him. Nick had told them no.

"Tony Monaco at Z103.5 phoned a few minutes ago wondering if they could book you at their station for an interview."To which they were met with another resounding 'no'. Of course, Nick didn't give a reason why and they were starting to wonder.

"You're going to be on Much on Demand ...is that okay? Rick and Jenn will interview you in front of the live audience and then you can hang out with them for the hour..."

Nick shook his head. "No scheduled interviews. No appointments. I'll see how I feel when I get up there." He'd said offhandedly, booking his tickets on his cell phone. When they gave him an exasperated sigh he smiled warmly.

"You're not taking this seriously Nick. Canada has always been great for the Boys and they love you. If you don't ...."

He held up his hand and shook his head. "I know what I'm doing okay? It's my CD and I'm going to promote it how I want. I'll be in Toronto on the 4th. My plane lands at 9am and I'll be staying over until late on the 5th. Don't worry about it."

Gauging by the gleam in Nick's eye, the execs were worrying, because there was something there, and it wasn't interest in promoting the single while in Canada. They saw something else, a flash of fire. Lust. Desire in his blue eyes and knew they could do nothing to change the blonde's mind.

Stepping off the plane at Pearson International Nick took a deep breath, smiling genuinely for the first time in days. He'd still been getting shit from everyone at The Firm and Jive for his refusal to commit to any interviews while in Toronto, but he had more important things to deal with. More pressing people to see. As he picked up his luggage from the carousel Nick allowed his eyes to flicker over the people waiting to pick up their loved ones, stopping as his gaze met an intense pair of blue eyes trained on him. His grin turned into a smirk and he felt the butterflies in his stomach as his groin tightened. He pulled down the bucket hat further on his head, covering his own eyes and walked towards the figure that was studying him, neither saying a word as they headed towards the exit where a black SUV was waiting for them.

Nick threw his bags in the back of the vehicle and climbed into the passenger side, waiting for his companion to do the same. He noticed that the windows were tinted and smiled as he heard the driver's side door slam shut. Instantly, they both turned to one another and removed each others' hats letting hands roam over cheeks and jaws, before they both leaned in and rested their foreheads together.

"God I thought you'd never get here." JC breathed, inhaling the smell that could only be described as Nick. Before he allowed Nick to respond, he'd covered the blonde's mouth with his own, frantically kissing and tasting him. It had been so long since they'd been able to get together, their schedules conflicting more now than when they'd both been on tour.

Pulling away with a groan, Nick took a deep breath. "I know baby."His fingers danced up JC's jaw and ran through his hair which had gotten considerably longer in the three months since they'd seen one another. He felt his lover purr against his palm and watched as JC's eyes fluttered shut and a smile decorated his lips. Bringing their mouths together again, Nick conveyed the love he felt for the older man, hoping that JC knew just how much he'd missed him. Tongues played with and licked each other, JC all but crawling across the seats and settling himself in Nick's lap. "Not here Josh..." Nick moaned, pulling away regretfully. As much as he needed him, wanted him, Nick didn't want it to be in the airport parking lot. He'd waited this long, another hour wouldn't kill them.

JC groaned as he straightened up, putting the key in the ignition and starting the engine. With one last kiss, he put the car in gear and headed out of the airport, making his way down to the Beaches. They rode most of the way in silence, both content in just looking at each other, holding their hands clasped between them. Nick couldn't believe that he was finally there with him, and JC was thinking the same thing. They had to make the most of their time together seeing that pretty soon Nick would be on tour.

The relationship had started about two years prior. No Strings Attached had just come out and the media rivalry had reached an all time high. Of course, most of the rivalry was based on reality, the guys in each group not exactly friends, but for Nick it wasn't that big a deal. Backstreet sold records, NSYNC sold records. Life went on. Who cares who sold more as long as they were all able to do what they loved. At least that's how he saw it. Both groups had been at a party and Lance and Kevin had ended up getting into a messy fight. Insults were thrown, accusations were made and Nick had snuck out the side door hoping that no one had seen him. What he hadn't counted on was finding JC sneaking out the same door, thus they had bumped into one another. Literally.

"Fuck."JC had swore, rubbing his face. "Please don't tell Kevin I'm trying to beat you up or something. That's the last thing I need right now."He had helped Nick up from the floor and saw the defeat in the blonde's blue eyes.

"No harm done man."Nick replied, dusting himself off as JC set him on his feet.

"You're not going to freak out on me? Tell me I'm trying to sabotage you by breaking your legs?"JC was a little wary of Nick. He was the heartthrob of the group, Backstreet's Justin, but they were so different. He was quiet. Withdrawn. Almost eerily so, and JC never knew what he was thinking.

"Not all of us have something stuck up our asses JC. We don't all think that NSYNC is the anti-christ."Nick laughed at the shock on JC's face and continued down the alley to the street where he knew the limo was parked. Halfway there he stopped. "Wait. Where were you going? Shouldn't you be in there defending your honour to the death?"

JC shook his head and chuckled as he rolled his eyes. "This whole us vs. you is getting old."

And from there both men began talking and found themselves at some club on the other side of town. Slowly they formed a friendship that none of the other guys knew about. That friendship moved past friends one night a few months later, thus turning the secret friendship into a secret relationship. And now 2 years later, they were still sneaking around, but it was the greatest love of their lives they were hiding from their best friends and neither would have changed a single thing.

"Lance doesn't mind us using his place?"Nick teased, moving his hand onto JC's thigh and squeezing playfully.

"He doesn't mind ME using his place ..usually. But I didn't tell him I was coming up THIS week... what he doesn't know won't hurt him."JC answered, pulling down the familiar street towards Lance's building. "He's in space training anyways, so he won't even find out about it."

"Oooooh. We gonna get freaky in Lance's bed... I can hardly wait!"Nick giggled at the thought of Lance finding out what they would be doing in his condo, in his bed and soon JC was laughing alongside him.

Once JC had parked the car, they got out and brought Nick's bags upstairs, throwing them into Lance's bedroom. Giving him the grand tour, JC showed him where everything was and they made themselves comfortable in the living room, cuddling on the couch.

"So what's the plan?"JC asked, leaning back against Nick's chest, allowing him to be enveloped in Nick's strong arms.

"Whatever."

"Whatever? What does that mean?"JC asked, craning his neck to look at Nick.

"I'm gonna call in the radio stations and do interviews... maybe stop by Much tomorrow or later today or some shit like that..."Nick said as he caressed JC's stomach through the thin tee shirt he was wearing. He could feel JC react against him and he smiled lazily.

"You didn't schedule anything?"

Nick's hand lowered down to JC's groin where he felt his lover very hard. "I scheduled time to make love to my boyfriend. To fuck my boyfriend, and if he's lucky, let my boyfriend fuck and or make love to me."He squeezed JC's cock, eliciting a sharp cry from him. "A few times."

"Oh god Nicky..."

"Oh yeah."Nick interrupted, licking and sucking at JC's neck. "It's been a while since I've gotten any head, so I might go for some of that too. THAT is what I've scheduled for today and tomorrow. Everything else is as time permits."

JC was about to reply when he felt the buttons on his jeans release and Nick's hand slip inside. Goose bumps covered his skin as Nick's hand found his erection and grasped it tightly, reacquainting itself with him. His hips bucked involuntarily, thrusting himself further into Nick's fist. Their mouths met in a steamy kiss, filling the air with sounds of hungry sucking and faint moaning.

Nick continued to pump JC's shaft until he could feel him just about to cum, stopping entirely and withdrawing his hand from his jeans. That garnered a cry of disappointment from his lover and Nick soothed him, pushing him to sit up straight. Doing so, he climbed out from behind JC and stood up, extending his hand for JC to take.

There was a familiar gleam in Nick's eyes and JC shivered understanding what was about to happen. Silently, they walked towards Lance's bedroom and Nick checked the time, almost noon. Once they reached the spacious room, they slowly undressed one another, lovingly caressing each other's skin, making a memory to last them until the next time they would be afforded this time together. Time was taken to kiss and whisper words of love and commitment to one another, their bond only reaffirmed by the emotion passing between them.

When neither could hold on any longer, Nick lay JC back onto the bed and hovered over him, worshiping every inch of his body like he'd dreamed of since he learned of the trip to Toronto. It was what got him through the nights, waiting to be reunited with his lover once again.

Pleas were made to hurry but promises were given that it would be worth the wait. Their breathing was laboured and finally Nick couldn't hold off any longer and he settled himself over JC, linking their hands together over his head. With a gentle push Nick found himself sheathed tightly inside of JC, their bodies meshing together like they were created for just that purpose. Golden brown skin, tanned as though the sun itself kissed it began to move rhythmically against creamy white skin, a thin layer of sweat forming proof of their exertion. Muscles flexed and relaxed and two sets of crystal blue eyes were firmly locked on one another, bringing them towards the release they both could feel building.

With a kiss, Nick pulled one hand away from JC's and slid it in between them, stroking him in time with his thrusts, making sure to hit the spot he knew that drove his lover wild. They had plenty of time for rough and playful, the first time was always slow and beautiful. An expression of their love.

JC came first, tears in his eyes and Nick's name gasped from his lips, which were dry. Nick leaned down, covering JC's mouth with his own and swallowed the cry, speeding his movements up slightly to bring himself over the edge as well. It only took a few more pushes before he could feel his body releasing all the pent up sexual frustration deep inside of JC's body.

"I love you." Nick whispered as he pulled out of JC, feeling the emptiness instantly. He could tell JC felt the same way as he was instantly pulled against his lover, their bodies entwined tightly.

"I love you more."Was the reply against his chest. Both men breathed deeply, letting the reality of the moment catch up with them. Up until this point it had been surreal and they both harboured fears that it was just an elaborate dream they were going to wake from at any minute. But it wasn't and now that they were sure of that, they allowed themselves to relax into the moment.

The next time Nick opened his eyes he looked over at the clock and saw it was after 4. Sighing, he reached over to his cell phone that had been placed on the nightstand and turned it on, waiting for it to be ready. When he saw it flash OK, he scrolled down through his phone book until he found the number he was looking for, clicking send. It rang and he shifted, pulling JC tighter.

JC felt Nick's breathing change and woke from the light sleep he was in. Looking up, he saw Nick with his cell phone at his ear waiting for someone to answer. Tightening his hold on Nick, he placed a series of kisses on his chest, giggling when he saw Nick watching him intently.

"Hey."Nick whispered so JC would know he was talking to him.

"Hey."

Before Nick could say more, the person on the other end answered the phone. "Hey. Dan? It's Nick. Carter."That elicited another round of giggles from JC who muffled it in Nick's chest. "Yeah bro... Sorry I couldn't commit to an interview.. wasn't sure what the deal was exactly.... Yeah, I'm in town now. Sure, you want me to call on the studio line? We can do the interview on the phone if you want..."Listening to Tarzan Dan's instructions he clicked disconnect and redialed, phoning the station this time.

The interview lasted about half an hour, people able to call in and talk to him, all having no clue he was currently wearing absolutely nothing but a JC Chasez shaped blanket in Lance Bass' bed down in the beaches. When the interview was over, Nick thanked Dan for the last minute interview and promised that they'd get together for lunch the next day to catch up. His single had already been couriered to the station so that had been cued up and was already playing as Nick hung up the phone and sighed, snuggling further into the sheets with JC.

"One down..."JC said, kissing Nick softly.

"Two to go. Tomorrow morning, I call Z103, talk to Tony and pump up my single there. Then in the afternoon after my lunch with Dan, I thought I'd go to Much and just pop in. No crowds and no hoopla..."

"Smart.. that way it will seem like you're just chilling out and not making a big production about it. Not being too cocky by scheduling all this stuff just to get fans down there..."JC agreed. He was so proud of Nick he had no idea where to start in telling him. If anyone was caught in the middle between the rivalry between Nick and Justin it was him, and truth be told he wanted both of his boys to do well. For different reasons of course, but in the end, he just wanted them both to be happy. But Nick seemed to be taking things in stride and JC was proud of that. Nick knew it was going to be difficult breaking free from the critic's assumptions on his cd and career, but he was still doing it his own way. And JC admired that. He looked up at Nick and saw him looking out the window to the sky, a far away look on his face. "You don't regret this time with me do you? I mean, if I hadn't said I'd meet you here you'd be down there right now ....hundreds of girls screaming for you, your single being pumped up like...."

"I'm exactly where I want to be. Doing what I want to be doing." Nick said, not even flinching. His eyes averted from the window to JC's, no hint of remorse on his face.

"But..."

"I'm exactly where I want to be, doing what I want to be doing." He repeated. Their eyes locked and JC saw all that he needed to. The sincerity behind Nick's words. The love in his eyes.

"Thank you Nick. I know how this CD is your dream. I just don't want to be seen as a distraction."He said softly, voicing his fears against the soft skin of Nick's chest. He felt the blond sigh before pushing him off, rolling him to the side. Before JC knew it, Nick was hovering over him and looking down on him, their foreheads touching. He had no choice but to look directly into Nick's blue eyes, which were clouded and serious.

"It may be my dream. But you are my life and if anything, IT is a distraction from THIS. So don't ever think that you are second in my life because you're not. I do things because I want to, not because I feel I have to. Not because I'm told to. But because I want them. So if I'm here and not there, it is because I made the choice. The interview was done, tomorrow will get done. It's all good."

JC could only nod and tremble, the look in Nick's eyes rocking him to the core. And as quickly as he'd done it, Nick rolled off and pulled JC close, spooning behind him.

Nick sighed against JC's body feeling the tension flow out of both of them. Tomorrow was tomorrow, he'd deal with it when it got there. Right now he was sleepy and had the most beautiful man in the world in his arms.
