~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
With the party in full swing, Nick knows he is expected to work the
room and make nice to the people who had turned their backs on him not
so long ago. How they figure he's going to talk to these suits, give a
shit about what they have to say and do it with a smile on his face is
beyond him, especially when what he really wants to do is tell them all
to go fuck themselves and leave to do something else, anything else.
When it gets to the point that he can't take any more, feels his skin
crawling from the overwhelming superficiality of it all, Howie's voice
rings clear in his mind, reminding him that the ends will justify the
means. If they suffer now, have all of the suits eating out of their
hands this early in the game, at least early in respect to this time
around, then later on they'll be left to their own devices and won't
have to worry about any surprises popping up.
Nick isn't naive to believe that it will be that easy to get them off
their backs, but with the tone of Howie's voice, and the stern look of
power Kevin gave them, he figures that it was easier to just go with
the flow and do what they wanted than listen to them bitch and moan
about it later. If there's one thing Nick has learned in this business,
is to pick and choose your battles. Sometimes it was easiest for all
parties involved to go with the flow. Especially when you had both
Kevin AND Howie on your ass about something.
They all knew that their comeback was going to be hard. Especially with
internal beliefs that they would never record again. If they only had
to convince the media and fans that they were going to be making a
comeback, that wouldn't have been too hard, but when three fifths of
the group were just as unsure of another album, the battle had been
more uphill than down. There had been a lot of arguing, fighting,
yelling and slamming doors. Two years ago it might have been different,
but now that they'd all had a period of time away from one another,
ample time to stew over things that had been bottled up for so long
they didn't realize was still there, explosions were felt all through
the compound they'd set themselves up in to 'rebond'.
Once the smoke cleared, intense conversations were had and they all
agreed that they had too much history to not attempt to reunite. They
were ready to go forward and it was time to convince the label and
their management that they could do it. For a moment, Nick wishes that
he was back at that compound, ducking accusations, insults and
resentment from the other guys, at least with them, he knows it's out
of love more that hate. With the men and women in this room, he isn't
so sure.
There is a brief moment of relief as he looks across the room to see
Kevin engaged in what appears like a painful conversation with someone.
It is nice to see that it isn't just him feeling suffocated and
trapped. The smile of satisfaction tugs at his lips before he can wipe
it off and before he knows it, Kevin's eyes are locked on his, his own
lips frowning with what Nick translates as annoyance. Nick's grin
widens.
He allows himself to believe that the annoyance is at them and not him,
but he's not 100% sure. So rather than think too hard about it, he
breaks their eye contact and starts wandering around the room. The plan
is to smile and nod, connecting with people but not enough for them to
stop him and want to talk. He really doesn't want to talk to anyone,
especially since he's pretty certain he hates every single person in
this room, with the exception of maybe ten people! Four that he's
certain he doesn't hate, the other six are just for the odds that there
are probably people here he doesn't even know, so he can't possibly
hate them.
Yet.
There's always time for that.
Before he knows it, he's been pulled into a conversation and as he
looks up to see who he's conversing with, he's surprised to see JC
Chasez looking at him through amusement filled eyes. The smile is on
his face before he can get a handle on it and he watches as the corners
of JC's lips do the same. It's like they're sharing a private joke but
Nick's not entirely sure what the joke is, yet it doesn't seem awkward.
He's actually relieved to have someone who knows what he's feeling and
understands, outside of the other four who are sick of hearing him
bitch and moan as he's sick of hearing them.
It takes a little while but eventually it's just Nick and JC standing
together and when they both realize there's no one there but them, they
both exhale deeply and allow themselves to relax. Their game faces drop
and now their faces are their own. "I didn't even know you guys were
going to be here," Nick says, his voice friendly and he hopes that it's
obvious he's happy with the revelation. A lot of shit had gone down in
the past and Nick attributed his participation as being young and
cocky, fighting a fight he wasn't entirely informed about. Right now,
he's more than relieved to be talking to JC, and if he's honest with
himself, he's a little curious about the older man.
"There is no 'us guys' anymore Nick. That's the past, man!"
JC doesn't seem as affected by the news as Nick knows he would be, has
been, and he raises an eyebrow while he watches the other man
skeptically.
"Come on.. it can't be that..."
JC shakes his head, stopping Nick from finishing that sentence. "I know
I can be frank with you Carter, there is no us anymore. 'We' are not a
collective we anymore. NSYNC is the past, now we're all artists that
formerly comprised NSYNC."
But Nick doesn't believe it, not deep down because they still are
referred to as members of NSYNC, as in "JC from NSYNC" and "Joey from
NSYNC" where when it was Nick doing his own thing, he was referred to
as "Nick Carter, ex-Backstreet Boy", and look at them now. If they
could overcome their differences then.... He doesn't even let himself
finish that thought. The expression in JC's crystal blue eyes says it
all, which is that Nick has no idea what he's talking about.
As usual.
"Bro, I'm sorry man."
JC shakes his head, a practiced move that Nick recognizes as one that
tries to convey that everything is okay but really it's taken a lot of
pain to get to that point. Nick feels his heart constrict and for what
might be the first time that night, he's thankful that Backstreet has
been able to get their shit together and agree that recording together
is what's best for all of them, that it's what they were meant to do.
He suspects JC's plight has a little to do with time passing and the
group as a whole being unable to form a 'cohesive unit' again, but what
he suspects more is that it has a lot to do with Justin's post-NSYNC
success, the blonde trophy girlfriend he's acquired and his inherent
need to be taken seriously, which is hard to do in a boyband. It
surprises Nick because it was HIS group that always took themselves too
seriously, not NSYNC and for Justin to abandon everything and everyone
who got him to where he was right now, Nick knew there was a reason he
had never really liked Justin Timberlake, this only strengthened that
feeling.
"It's life. You know.." JC's sentence trails off and Nick's almost
curious as to what he's about to say except that Kevin is at his side,
watching him curiously.
"Joshua, Nickolas." Kevin's voice is tight and his breathing is
controlled. Nick recognizes it as Kevin trying to keep his temper in
check. He flashes the older man a concerned look and is relieved when
Kevin gives a half smile back. It's not Nick that Kevin is angry at and
that's all Nick needs to know. He steps in close, not at all concerned
at how it looks to JC, who is watching them curiously.
"You okay?" Nick's voice is soft, his eyes warm and searching. He looks
deeply into Kevin's eyes and fights the urge to smooth the creases in
his forehead.
"Not at all." Kevin inhales deeply and Nick's cologne bombards his
senses. He closes his eyes and feels his blood pressure returning to
normal. Just having the blonde near is what Kevin needs right now and
it might possibly be the thing saving him from walking right up to the
President of Jive and not only punching him in his smug face, but
delivering a crushing blow to his groin with his knee. Kevin chooses to
focus on Nick and within moments, his anger has been diffused.
Josh watches in silent awe at the way the two men in front of him
interact. He's been in the industry for long enough that he recognizes
the signs of a secret relationship. To everyone else, it looks like
Nick and Kevin are having a private conversation, but JC sees the way
Kevin's hand is resting on Nick's hip, holding a little too tight to
simply be resting there, the way Nick is leaning in too far, needing
the close proximity of a lover. Not to mention the fact that JC has
been witness to Kevin's wrath and he'd never seen anyone or anything
diffuse Kevin as fast as Nick just had. Watching the two men in front
of him reminds JC of he and Chris and memories of a relationship long
over. He feels a pang of regret and pushes it out of his head, it's not
about him tonight, it's about Backstreet and the issue of them being
back. Backstreet's Back.
Alright.
Kevin realizes that they've been talking for too long and people are
starting to take notice. AJ is watching them curiously and Kevin meets
his gaze, informing him silently that everything is going to be okay.
AJ nods and returns to his conversation, his eyes flickering back a few
more times just to make sure. Kevin takes a step back and smiles at
Nick to let him know he's okay now. "So, what are you two up to?"
Nick reverts back from concerned mode to bored and annoyed mode knowing
that he has to play nice for just a little longer before they can
leave. "Nothing. Passing time."
JC nods. "Definitely passing time until it's socially acceptable to
sneak out." He knows exactly what they're feeling and is feeling the
same thing. His people have told him that he has to battle it out until
at least eleven. It's not even ten yet. He's got it better than the
Boys though, they're expected there until at least midnight, most
likely later.
They manage to have an uninterrupted conversation for about fifteen
minutes, none of which Nick is able to talk to JC about his solo CD and
some of the songs on the album, which is why he was so interested in
talking to JC in the first place.
"JC, I have a few people who were wanting to speak with you," the suit
interrupts, smiling at Nick and Kevin. "I'm sorry to take him away
boys..."
Nick fights not to roll his eyes. Instead, he pastes on a fake smile
and shakes the man's hand. "No problem, Sir. We were just catching up."
Nick turns to JC and widens his eyes comically. "So, Jayce, we'll see
you around. It was good talking to you."
JC grins shaking both Nick and Kevin's hand politely. "You too Nick.
I'll talk to you both later."
For the first time all night, Nick is alone with Kevin. His body hums
with awareness and he feels his stomach fluttering anxiously. Their
sexual relationship is not a recent one. It was during the Millennium
tour that they had gone out one night, needing a stress relief and
ended up in bed together, which marked the beginning of an open
relationship of random sex and hook ups. It was best friends with
benefits with the comfort of knowing it was what it was and neither
took more from it than was offered. They didn't have to worry about the
other falling in love because they already did love each other, it just
wasn't love that was equated with hearts, roses and promises of
forever. Kevin had that with Kristin and Nick was adverse to it. He
hadn't found anyone worth the problems of hearts, roses and promises of
forever and until he did, he was fine with how he was living his life.
"So, what happened over there?" Nick is curious as to what had riled
Kevin so much that he'd been shaking with anger earlier. With the
exception of Howie, out of everyone in the group, Kevin's temper was
the most controlled. Where Nick always flew off the handle, and AJ and
Brian were easy to rattle, Kevin was almost always the picture perfect
example of control and restraint.
Kevin shakes his head, he doesn't want to get into it again, and he
knows if he tells Nick what had been said, the blonde will retaliate
and any headway they'd made that night would be lost. Not that Nick
would have been in the wrong in going after the man, Kevin himself
wanted to punch him, but it wasn't the way to go about handling things.
Especially now when Jive was still a little hesitant in putting forth a
new Backstreet album and the Boys had to gain back the fan base they'd
seemingly lost in their hiatus. Kevin refuses to let himself think
about anything beyond that moment knowing that if he does, it will
overwhelm him.
"It's not important."
"It is Kevin. You're still on edge and whether or not you realize it,
you keep looking over your shoulder at that man and growling at him."
There is a look of surprise on Kevin's face and Nick gives a brief
smile. "Yeah, so either stop growling or tell me what's wrong!"
Kevin narrows his eyes for a moment. When Nick doesn't retreat he
resigns himself to the fact that Nick isn't the little boy he once was
and is fully capable of standing his own ground. He remembers the day
that Nick would shrink back with the glare of an eye or the raise of an
eyebrow, but as Kevin attempts these old tricks, he realizes that the
past is long gone. "Later."
"Fine."
Kevin knows better than to hope Nick will have forgotten. He won't.
"And what are you two conspiring about?" Brian's voice is low so no one
will be able to make out bits and pieces of their conversation. They've
all long since learned on what issues to project your voice for and
which to not. There is a gleam in his eye and both Nick and Kevin laugh.
"How to get out of here without being seen," Nick offers. It's not what
they'd been actually discussing, but it was foremost on their minds.
Kevin nods.
"Fire alarm?" Brian offers with a shrug. "It's not like we haven't done
that before."
"Bomb threat?" AJ adds, joining in on the conversation. Kevin raises an
eyebrow and AJ holds his hands up in surrender. "Just an idea."
"No."
"Nicky can pretend food poisoning," Howie suggests an evil gleam in his
eyes. "He always was an ace at that."
All five are silent for a few moments before they break into laughter.
It seems that not everything has changed since the early days.
"God, can you imagine the look on their faces?" Nick chuckles, wiping
his eyes that have teared up with laughter. This was the stress relief
that they all needed at that moment. "You know for sure they'd kill us."
"Maybe they'd be so mad at us, they'd send us home." It was wishful
thinking on Howie's part, but they all knew that wouldn't be the case.
Not only would they have to stay longer, but they'd endure hours of
management meetings and lectures.
"Well, this has been fun but I think we should separate. Work the room
a little more, maybe meet in front of the cocktail shrimp in about
forty five minutes? It'll give us a chance to regroup and bitch for a
few minutes," Brian suggests. He receives four nods in agreement and
they all disperse.
Sort of.
Nick needs a little more time alone. The people in this room are the
same assholes that he had to kiss up to when he was doing Now or Never,
and the fact that they were all right about how his solo CD would do
when he told them they were wrong left a slight sting on his ego.
Slowly, as to not garner any unwanted attention, he makes his way to
the hall where he knows an out of the way bathroom can be found. He
wants to get away, but the men's room closest to the party would have
high traffic and he just wants to be alone for a few minutes. He
stretches his back and rolls his neck to get the kinks out and grins
when the men's room comes into view.
It takes a few seconds to relieve his bladder and he's splashing cold
water on his face when he hears footsteps coming down the hall. He
feels a hint of annoyance and shakes his head in frustration, refusing
to look up when the door opens and he's no longer alone. Blindly
grabbing for a paper towel, Nick keeps his eyes closed hoping that
whoever has joined him will go to the bathroom and leave quickly and
quietly. It is only when all movement stops in the washroom that Nick
opens his eyes, wondering why the hell the person hasn't done what
they've come in to do. He feels his pulse speed up in excitement.
Kevin watches Nick's eyes dart discreetly around the room before slowly
extracting himself from the crowd. At first he's curious as to where
Nick is going so he excuses himself from the conversation he's been
lured into. Kevin follows the blonde down the hall at a safe distance,
not wanting to announce his presence in the hall. It is as he watches
Nick slip into an out of the way washroom that Kevin smiles. He looks
behind him one last time to make sure that no one is tailing him like
he's tailing Nick and as he's confident that he hasn't been followed,
Kevin takes a deep breath and enters the men's room.
Nick is splashing water on his face and by the way his shoulders
stiffen and his back straightens slightly, Kevin knows he's annoyed.
Nick has snuck away to be left alone, yet Kevin is certain that he
won't be disappointed when he realizes who it is that has joined him.
Nick stands up and dries his face and it is as he slowly turns to face
the door, their eyes meet.
"Kev?"
"Nicky."
Nick's heart is in his throat and every single ounce of annoyance at
being disturbed during his moment of solace is replaced with
excitement. "What's up?"
"Well," Kevin begins advancing on Nick. "I saw you slip out of the room
unnoticed and thought I'd investigate."
"Uh babe, I hate to point out that if you noticed me leave, then I
didn't exactly slip out unnoticed."
Kevin narrows his eyes and growls at Nick, pleased when the blonde
practically giggles. The mood in the bathroom is electric and filling
with sexual anticipation. They're both aware of what this small chit
chat is leading up to, but surprisingly, neither is eager to rush. "You
know what I mean."
"Maybe."
"So why'd you sneak out?"
"I needed time alone."
Kevin pretends to pout and shrugs. "Okay, I'll just leave you alone
then."
Nick smirks as Kevin turns his back and advances towards the door.
While he is distracted, Nick takes this moment to remove his suit coat
and quietly undo his pants. He leans against the sink in an inviting
position and waits for Kevin to realize he isn't going to follow. It
takes the few steps to the door for Kevin to look over his shoulder.
"You're not even going to try and stop me? Convince me to stay?"
Nick doesn't answer but waits for Kevin to turn around fully. He has
slipped his hands into the vee of open fabric of his pants and his
leisurely palming his erection. When Kevin finally does turn around,
Nick's cheeks are faintly pink and his eyes are a dark shade of blue.
A small gasp echoes in the bathroom and Nick knows Kevin's not going
anywhere. In four large strides, Kevin is right in front of Nick,
standing between his spread open legs and looking down at Nick's hand
which is covered by the fabric of his dress shirt.
"You can be convincing when you want to be, huh Nicky?"
"You haven't even begun to see convincing," Nick responds, lifting his
shirt with his free hand. The cool air caresses his erection causing
for goose bumps to cover his skin and his lips curl into a sly grin.
"So if you want to go back out there, I'm not going to stop you. But I
kinda wish you'd stay."
Kevin leans in, brushing his lips against Nick's jaw. "You said you
wanted to be alone."
"I say a lot of things I don't mean sometimes Kevin." Nick wraps his
arms around Kevin's neck, pulling the older man so that their mouths
were perfectly lined up together.
"How do I know when you do and don't mean something?"
Nick smirks and pretends to think for a moment. "If I say something and
end it with a kiss, I'm telling you the truth. If there's no kiss, you
know I don't mean it."
Kevin looks at Nick intensely, as if trying to remember. "Okay. So then
let me ask, do you want me to go?"
"No. I want you to stay." Nick pauses and he feels Kevin hold his
breath. Slowly, teasingly he leans in and covers Kevin's mouth with his
own in a steamy, passion filled kiss.
"Good."
Kevin's hands make their way to Nick's lap where his erection is
throbbing between them. He grasps it firmly, enjoying the way Nick
twitches in response to the attention. Watching the blonde in social
pain all night, uncomfortable and miserable, had been killing Kevin and
he'd been trying to think of ways to get his lover to smile, just once.
Kevin is pleased that now Nick's not only smiling, but growling
erotically into his mouth, his tongue doing sensational things to his
own mouth and tongue. Kevin could care less what everyone else in that
stupid party thinks, right now he wants Nick and no sense of
responsibility is going to get in the way of that.
"I need to fuck you," Kevin growls as he jerks Nick rapidly, enjoying
the feel of his hot, hard erection in his hand. He can feel Nick's
whole body tremble and it only furthers his need to be inside this man.
"Against the wall or on the counter?" Nick's already shucking his
pants, there's no question that they are going to do this and in all
honesty, it's all he's been able to think about all night. Of course,
he thought he was going to have to wait until they got home for it, but
he's surely not complaining. He noticed Kevin discreetly lock the
bathroom door when he'd made the fake attempt to leave, so even taking
it into the stall was not required. Unless that's what Kevin wanted, at
this point, Nick was willing to do almost anything that was suggested.
Kevin contemplated the options presented to him, against the wall or on
the counter. His eyes darted up to lock with Nick's and he smiled, the
decision was already made. He wanted to be able to look into Nick's
eyes, see the expression on his face, but most importantly, be able to
kiss and taste Nick, something that even after all of these years, he
still never tired of. At one point Kevin had feared that they had
jumped too quickly into a relationship and that they were simply
remaining together for fear of ending the relationship. After a long
discussion, they agreed to take a little time away from each other to
see where their heads and their hearts were at. That time away ended up
being less than a week, a week that they would have been apart for
anyways as Nick was doing promotion on one end of the country and Kevin
was on the other. Just the thought of what the other was doing without
them, not restrained by the confinements of their relationship was
enough to drive both of them mad and at the first chance they were
given, Kevin flew up
to New York and begged Nick to forget everything he'd said about
clearing his head. Nick had smiled, pulled Kevin into the bedroom and
proved to him that what they had was irreplaceable. Kevin hasn't looked
back since.
Nick's pants slip off of his legs and he stands in front of his lover,
naked from the waist down. Except for his socks and shoes. Finding the
thought of fucking with his shoes on disturbing, those are taken off
too and he is left in his sock feet. That's okay. He grins at Kevin,
still waiting for his answer. "So?"
Kevin leans in to playfully lick at Nick's lips, gasping as he is taken
hostage in a steamy, erotic kiss. He can feel Nick's hands grappling
with the button and zipper on his pants, trying to free the erection
that is pressing against the fabric. He pushes Nick away gently,
leaning him back far enough so that he's against the mirror, but his
ass is on the edge of the counter. Kevin leans in one last time to kiss
Nick, silently telling him to trust him. Nick can only smile in
response as he licks his kiss swollen lips and feels his stomach lurch
in anticipation.
Kevin bends Nick's legs at the knee so he's scrunched up on the
counter, his legs spread and his full erection throbbing painfully.
"Just relax baby, let me do all the work."
Nick wants to argue, that he should at least help a little, but he
recognizes the determined expression in Kevin's eyes and trusts that
he's got everything under control. If anything, Kevin knows exactly
what he's doing and Nick is definitely not going to fuck with that,
because if he does, Kevin will get pissy and will stop everything
instantly. Nick does not want that. At all!
Briefly, Kevin prepares Nick, using two perfectly skilled fingers to
stretch him. He wants to lose himself in the sensations of Kevin's
fingers fucking him steadily, curling just enough to send shock
tendrils up his body, but knows that if he relaxes too much, he'll be
spent by the time Kevin slides inside of him. Nick leans in and pulls
Kevin's face close to his, kissing his jaw softly. "I want you inside
me now," Nick tries to use his breathiest, sexiest voice, giving just a
little bit of a whine to accent his arousal. If he pushes too hard,
Kevin will retreat, but if he can speed it up without making it seem
like he is, he'll get exactly what he wants. Thankfully, Kevin nods,
the vein in his throat pulsating. Kevin wants it as much as he does and
for that reason, Nick's plight is victorious.
"Over my shoulders," Kevin instructs, tapping at Nick's knees. Instead
of complying, Nick shakes his head and grabs a hold of his knees,
pulling them close to his body. With this move, he opens himself up
more while at the same time curling himself up in a tighter ball. Kevin
should be impressed with his lovers' dexterity but that isn't what he's
focusing on right now. He's more focused on his erection and how he
needs to be inside Nick, like ten minutes ago.
Within seconds he's undone his pants and Kevin is reaching into his
pocket for the condom he extracted from his wallet on the walk down the
long hall. They don't always use condoms anymore, mostly only when
they're somewhere without sufficient lube, and yeah, Kevin COULD use
water, but it's never as sexy as it's made out to be and mostly always
hurts more than had they just used the condoms. In a last minute move,
Kevin drops to his knees, crouching on the floor so that his face is
lined up directly with Nick's ass. He's prepared Nick adequately, and
he should be fucking him right now, but he wants to do one thing before
he goes ahead. So he does.
Nick's whole body starts to tremble as he feels Kevin's hot breath on
his ass, followed by the slick, wet plane of his tongue breaching the
tight ring of muscle of his ass. "Fuck," Nick whimpers, biting his
tongue from barking at Kevin to hurry the fuck up. He isn't sure if he
can hold on any longer and in the back of his mind he knows they have
to get back, at least relatively soon before someone realizes that
they're gone. One missing Boy can be covered, but two?
Kevin's ready. He nibbles playfully on Nick's skin and stands up, an
evil smile on his face. "You're doing well, Baby." Kevin knows that
Nick's holding on by a thread and he is enjoying torturing his lover.
He could spend, and has spent, hours licking and sucking and tasting
every single inch of Nick's beautiful body, and although he knows that
this isn't exactly the place for it, he can't help himself. But they've
been gone for too long and he knows it, so he's got to hurry up. Hurry
up so they can go back out there, do some more schmoozing so he can
take Nick home and spend the rest of the night doing just this, but in
the privacy of their home. He sheathes himself with the condom and in
lightning speed, he places himself at Nick's entrance and is pushing
inside, feeling a hot, tight heat engulf him.
It is amazing how both men tremble simultaneously at the feeling of
Kevin sliding as far into Nick as possible, their bodies joined as one.
Their mouths meet in a sweet, gentle kiss, Kevin exhales to calm his
anxious nerves that are screaming for him to just start thrusting.
Their eyes meet and all caution is thrown to the wind. Nick holds onto
his legs, knowing that once Kevin gets started, he's all focus. And
Kevin doesn't disappoint. Once he begins thrusting, his hands gripping
Nick's hips tightly, his eyes close and he can't focus on anything
except for how good Nick feels around him and how it's only been less
than one minute but he can already taste his orgasm. Kevin starts to
back off and Nick whimpers in protest.
"No. Don't fucking stop.. don't you dare fucking stop..."
"I.."
"God damn Kevin.. we can draw it out later. Right now I fucking want to
cum, now make me cum damn it!" Nick knows that he can say pretty much
anything and Kevin is too far gone to stop now. And odds are, the more
he provokes the older man, the better it's going to be. He is right as
Kevin grips him tighter and shows no mercy. It takes less than a dozen
more strokes for Nick to explode, the scream out before he can stop it
and his whole body trembling and spazming. Kevin opens his eyes to
watch Nick unravel before him. The way Nick's eyes roll back into his
head and how he bites his lip in response to the overwhelming
sensations he's being bombarded with is enough for Kevin to loose that
last thread of control he had and he empties himself into the condom.
Both men continue to ride out their orgasms and Kevin blindly leans in
to press his mouth to Nick's, wanting to taste his lover and reassure
him of the love between them. "Love you," he speaks against Nick's
lips. There is the briefest hint of a smile as Nick returns the
sentiments. Nick has let go of his legs and wraps his arms around
Kevin's neck, wanting the older man as close to him as possible. He
vaguely feels Kevin slide out of him and takes the next few minutes to
regulate his breathing.
"You are fucking fantastic," Nick breathes. He can still feel Kevin
inside of him, even though they've long since separated. The last thing
he wants to do now is go back to that party, but he knows there is no
other option. And judging by the time on his watch, they better get to
it fast.
Kevin beams. He removes the condom, wraps it in paper towels and buries
it in the garbage bin. He then fixes his clothes while Nick makes a
feeble attempt to hide the cum stains on his shirt. Their eyes meet in
the mirror and they both break into laughter, the glow of after sex
still illuminating their smiles. It takes less than ten minutes but
they're somewhat presentable and it's going to have to be good enough.
Kevin agrees to go the long way to make it look like he'd come from a
different door and Nick slides into the room from the door that he'd
exited, almost forty-five minutes earlier.
"Nick, we've been looking for you," A man in a suit says, glaring at
Nick suspiciously. Nick can feel the sweat beaded up on his skin and
knows he's still slightly flushed. Going for the gold, he shakes his
head.
"I'm sorry. I think I had some bad sushi earlier. Been in the
bathroom." He grimaces as if to prove his point, grips his stomach and
silently cheers as he watches the suit go a slight shade of green.
"Oh yeah? Was it the sushi here? Because I had some and I've been
feeling a little..."
Nick has to hold himself from laughing out loud. He can't believe that
after all this time, it still works like a charm. "No, somewhere on
Sunset Strip. I should have been more careful, but I was craving some
sushi and didn't really think about it." He notices that the man is
still green and this might actually give him the out he so desperately
wants.
"Well, maybe you should cut out early then. I mean, I know what bad
sushi can do to a man, been victim of that a few too many times."
Nick visibly flinches at the imagery this man has provided him with.
"I'll tell people you weren't feeling well."
Moments later, they're joined by Kevin, who has a suspicious looking AJ
in tow. Nick knows that they've been busted by the look Brian is
shooting him from across the room and he simply winks at his band mate.
When Brian finds out that his and Kevin's tryst resulted in them being
sprung early he'll be all too willing to forgive them. Nick's sure of
it.
"Is everything okay?" Kevin asks, giving Nick an amused look.
"No, it appears that Nick ate some bad sushi this afternoon and he's
been in the washroom trying to battle it. I suggested he go home early."
AJ snickers, shaking his head. "I told you not to eat that shit man. It
smelled something awful."
"Fuck you," Nick jokes back. Before he can continue the thought,
they're joined by Brian and Howie. With a pleading look from Nick, the
suit agrees to let them all go.
"I guess it would be okay. I know you all came together and it is..."
It is clear that he doesn't want to let them all go because he'll have
to answer to his bosses, but Nick bats his eyelashes and uses the fact
that this man is so obviously in lust with him as leverage.
"If anyone gives you any problems," Nick says softly, moving in closer
to the man. "Just tell them that I had food poisoning and they were
gonna take me to the hospital."
The man's eyes open wider in alarm, but he doesn't move back from Nick.
In fact, he moves closer. "Are you going to go to the hospital? Is it
that bad?"
Nick shakes his head, sticking out his lower lip in a pout. "No, but
they don't have to know that."
Five minutes later they're exiting the building, their car being
brought around from where it had been parked. No one speaks until they
get into the back and they know they're alone.
"You're both such sluts," Brian laughs as he shakes his head.
"These sluts just got you out of that party," Nick retorts, sliding his
hand onto Kevin's lap.
"Useful sluts." Brian says, conceding defeat. He's right, they are
sluts, but Nick's point is more valid. It was them that got them out of
there so he can't be completely bitter that for almost an hour they
snuck off somewhere to fuck while he was forced to talk to someone
about how his daughter just loves them and would appreciate it if maybe
Brian could call her up some time to go out. Despite the fact that he's
happily married with a beautiful son.
"So, what does everyone want to do now?" Howie asks. He's not ready to
end the night but he just wanted out of there. Brian and AJ are up for
something else but Nick and Kevin shake their head.
"Bad sushi. Not feeling well, gonna go home," Nick grins at Kevin,
sticking his tongue out at everyone else.
"Gonna go home with him, make sure he's okay."
AJ reaches for the phone that connects them to the driver. He gives
instruction for them to head to Kevin's house first. They'll drop them
off before heading out for the rest of the night. As much as they'd
like to do something as a group, watching Kevin and Nick grope each
other all night just isn't worth it. They've proven themselves useful
for the night, and the other three are infinitely grateful to have
escaped unscathed. He looks at Nick and Kevin who are already fused at
the mouth.
"You've already had the bathroom party sex boys, there's no need for
after-party limo sex with your band mates IN the limo with you!"
Brian's voice is teasing but he's all together serious. He's seen his
cousin in action more than he'd ever hoped to in his entire life, and
if he can stop it this time before it starts, he'll be happy.
"Are we almost there then?" Nick whines, pulling away from Kevin's
kiss. Now that he's started up again, he doesn't want to stop. Kevin
tastes too good and he's just been promised a few treats for getting
them out of there so effortlessly. Kevin's growling against his skin
and thankfully, he sees the familiar landscape of Kevin's house through
the window.
They stumble out of the car and pause to say their goodnights.
"You know," Howie says as he leans out the window. "I am a little
frightened that I'm going to admit it, but your actions tonight have
been greatly appreciated. Now don't get me wrong, I won't be
celebrating every time you're both horny and can't wait to get home to
fuck. But tonight, I thank you."
The three men in the car know that now Nick and Kevin will be
insufferable now that they've pretty much given them the okay for
Bathroom Party Sex in the future, when really they haven't. They choose
not to think about it right now, they'll worry about it more the next
time they're forced to dress up in monkey suits and kiss up to their
bosses. Knowing Nick and Kevin, they'll only do it again giving them
the out they so desperately want but can't seem to get any other way.
Nick waves at the limo as it drives off. He turns around to find Kevin
has already gone up the driveway to the house. It takes him less than a
second to sprint to the front door, eager to find out what's waiting
for him on the other side.
