"You joined a what?" Kevin shook his head and fiddled with his ear in hopes that he’d heard the other man wrong. There was no way that Nick had just said what he thought he’d said. They were standing in the kitchen, Kevin was at the fridge, searching for something to drink while Nick leaned against the island with his arms crossed over his chest.

Nick raised an eyebrow. He was not impressed with the fact that Kevin was mocking him. The frown on his face showed his displeasure.

 "You heard me."

"I’m afraid I did. But humour me. Tell me again, please." Kevin tried not to smirk. He was unsuccessful.

"I joined a bowling league. Every Thursday night at seven-thirty. Over on Evergreen."

Kevin’s laugh caused for Nick to leave the kitchen. A snort escaped as Kevin followed the blond into the den where Nick was watching basketball. Nick’s leg was bouncing up and down rapidly, further proof of his annoyance with Kevin. There was not one hint of amusement on his beautiful face.

The two men had somewhat known each other for a few years, but neither had paid too much attention to the other. Nick was Justin’s best friend, Kevin was Josh’s, so when the two lovers would have get togethers and gatherings, both would invite their respective groups of friends, which always included Kevin and Nick. While they had entertained plenty of conversations, it was always as ‘friends of Josh and Justin’s’. Never really thinking of the other as much more than that.

Kevin wasn’t too sure what exactly had happened to make him finally ‘see’ Nick as more than Josh’s boyfriend’s best friend, but now that he had, he was grateful for it. Kevin slowly realized what an amazing person Nick was in his own right, and had taken a chance in asking him out without their common links. Nick had accepted and that had began their casual relationship which had lasted a few months. They dated openly, admitting to their lack of exclusivity. They both saw other people while seeing each other, but finally, a month earlier they realized that what they had was becoming less casual and more serious. It was then that they decided to give ‘them’ a real try, and cut off all extra curricular relationships on the side.

And four weeks later, Kevin was still as happy as that first day when he realized that no other person would make Nick laugh the way he did. No one else would make Nick cry in pleasure like he could, and he alone would be the recipient of that beautiful, love filled smile. They found out that they were perfect for each other and everything else had been just a means to an end. Except Kevin hadn’t known about Nick’s ‘bowling thing’.

Kevin was still trying to grapple with the fact that first off, there were still people out there who bowled in an actual league, but secondly and more importantly, his boyfriend was one of those people. He pictured Nick in bowling shoes and shuddered. No one looked good in bowling shoes, even his boyfriend who managed to make almost anything look sexy.

Nick was tall. Blonde. Not muscular but solid. He carried the slight extra weight that he had, very well. With broad arms, a broad chest and thighs that Kevin loved to have wrapped around him,, Nick was Kevin’s wet dream. And every time he had those gorgeous, captivating blue eyes trained solely on him, Kevin felt himself fall more and more in love with Nick.

"Kev?" Nick called teasingly. He could see Kevin’s eyes glazing over and a strange smile covered his lips. "Keeeeevin?" He sing songed.

"Hmmmm?" Kevin murmured, still in a dream about Nick’s expanse of tanned, honey coloured, flawless skin. He thought about how sweet Nick tasted and how much Kevin wanted him that exact second. How much Kevin wanted him every second of every day and how with each moment they spent together, he wanted him even more.

"What are you thinking about?" Nick recognized the look in Kevin’s eyes and felt himself harden at the possibility of whatever Kevin was thinking about. Kevin raised his gaze and stared directly into Nick’s eyes. Nick licked his lips slowly. Kevin’s eyes followed his tongue’s path. There was a feeling of undeniable hunger in the room, causing Nick to shiver in anticipation.

"Huh?" Kevin asked. He approached Nick, standing directly in front of the blonde. Nick spread his legs to allow Kevin to stand in between them. Kevin knelt down, rested one hand on the couch over Nick’s shoulder and stroked his cheek lightly with his other hand.

"W..what are you thinking about?" Nick repeated. It was painfully obvious what Kevin was thinking about, but Nick asked anyways, wanting to hear his lover say it out loud. His erection twitched at the look of raw hunger in Kevin’s eyes, not to mention the feral grin on his face.

 "You. Naked."

"That’s it?" Nick asked, breathlessly. He managed to remove his tee shirt and toss it on the couch beside him. Kevin still hadn’t moved an inch. They were both experiencing difficulty breathing, lips hovering dangerously close to one another but not touching. The anticipation only made it hotter for them.

Kevin’s eyes trailed down Nick’s chest. He admired the tattoos decorating Nick’s flawless skin, as well as the hoops that pierced through his nipples.

Nipples that were hard. And a dark pink. Begging to be licked. Bitten. Teased. Kissed.

Kevin was continuously amazed and awed by Nick’s beauty, but also how unbelievably sexy the man was. His mouth watered and he forced his eyes back up to Nick’s eyes. He let out a low, animalistic growl.

 "Not it."

"What else then?" Nick prodded. He slowly worked on his shorts, shimmying out of them. Kevin’s feral smile intensified.

"You. Spread out. Begging for me. Pleading for me to fuck you. Faster. Harder. Deeper." Kevin was lost in the fantasy. Hen he regained composure, he saw that Nick was naked. And leisurely stroking his shaft, which was full and demanding attention.

Nick raised an eyebrow as if to question what Kevin was waiting for. Within seconds, Kevin had thrown his shirt across the room and removed his jeans. He stood before Nick, watching his lover stroke himself, feeling the erotic heat of the moment crackle between them.

Scootch down a little," Kevin instructed.

Nick’s hand stopped moving and he chuckled.

 "I’m sorry, what?"

"Scootch down," Kevin repeated. When Nick didn’t react, he furrowed his eyebrows. "What? Lean down so that your ass is hanging off the couch. Scootch down."

Nick followed Kevin’s instructions, but let out another chuckle as he did so. As Kevin dropped to his knees, he shook his head.

 "What?" Kevin questioned.

"I’ve never heard anyone call it ‘scootching’ before."

Kevin snarled as he placed himself between Nick’s knees. He positioned them so that Nick’s feet were flat against his chest and he was wide open for him. "Asshole, making fun of me..."

"Well who the fuck says ‘scootch down’?"

"Me?!" Nick yelped as Kevin wet two fingers and slid them into Nick’s body, stretching him quickly and roughly.

"Damn country hick," Nick teased, arching into Kevin’s touch. They came together in a steamy, sexy kiss. Nick smiled against Kevin’s mouth, darting his tongue out to lick at his lips.

"Do you want me to do this or not?" Kevin punctuated his question by placing the head of his cock at Nick’s waiting entrance. He kissed Nick harder, pleased as the blonde let out a strangled whimper.

"Yeah right. Like you’d fucking stop right now." Nick prayed that Kevin didn’t. He needed this as much as his lover did, maybe more.

"I might." Contradictory to his threat, Kevin pushed in just a little more. Both men moaned in satisfaction as the invasion of Kevin in Nick’s body.

"You wouldn’t dare." Nick begged, kissing Kevin desperately. He trembled in Kevin’s arms, holding onto him, nearly clutching. "Please."

As Kevin slid in as far as he could, they both let out mirroring groans. "No, baby. No, I wouldn’t... Damn, you feel so fucking good Nicky. Wanna be inside you forever..." Kevin dropped kisses all over Nick’s face and throat. He shifted so that Nick was bent at an awkward angle, his knees practically touching the couch over his shoulders, allowing Kevin to reach in deeper than before.

The strain was uncomfortable for Kevin’s thighs and shins, and his calves were holding most of his weight, but Kevin knew that the sore muscles would be worth the orgasm that fucking Nick like this would ultimately bring. Already, seeing Nick pinned to the couch, breathing heavily, eyes closed and mouth parted had Kevin sexually charged beyond a doubt. Kevin wanted to fuck Nick into the couch, and then keep going.

Nick’s eyes were shut tight. He could barely breathe in this position but he didn’t dare tell Kevin that. As uncomfortable as the position was, he was enjoying it equally as much. If he was really uncomfortable or in pain, Kevin would stop, and Nick didn’t want that. In the month that Kevin and he had been exclusive and truly let the other know the real them, they had learned a lot about each other. And that included the fact that both men enjoyed a very healthy sex life.

Nick loved sex. Period. He loved it slow and romantic, but also loved it fast and hard. Safe. Rough. Kinky. Vanilla. There was nothing that Nick wouldn’t try at least once, and Kevin loved thinking of new ways to test that promise.

 Often.

Nick was in heaven as Kevin pounded into his body with sheer determination. Kevin whole heartedly agreed, it was better than it had been in a long time. For either of them.

A sharp jolt of pain penetrated Nick’s consciousness. He opened his eyes and looked down. Kevin had tweaked his nipples roughly. "Fucking pay attention," Kevin snarled.

Nick snarled back in response. Kevin swiveled his hips and thrust in directly against Nick’s prostate as he tugged at Nick’s nipple ring roughly with his teeth.

 Nick came.

 Hard.

And with a loud, yell of release.

The tighter that Nick got due to his orgasm, the harder Kevin continued to thrust into him, until finally he heard Nick’s low, moaning pleas. "Come.. Come, Kev.. Come inside me..."

Kevin leaned in to cover Nick’s mouth, and as the blonde sucked hungrily on his tongue, Kevin allowed himself to submit to his impending orgasm. He cried into Nick’s mouth, enjoying the release he felt as his cock exploded deep in Nick’s ass. When he felt the last explosion, he collapsed, exhausted, onto Nick’s chest. His knees hit the floor with a painful ‘thud’ and he slid out of Nick’s body with ease. A smile covered Kevin’s face as Nick began to stroke his sweat dampened hair lovingly.

"Holy fuck," Nick whimpered. He stretched out his legs, wincing at how cramped they were. When his eyes met Kevin’s, he smiled. "That was so fucking..."

"Amazing.." Kevin gasped. He licked his lips, tasting salty stickiness on his lips. He’d collapsed in a puddle of Nick’s come. He felt a wave of contentment, residual from his orgasm. When he felt that he could move, he stood up, groaning as his muscles protested the movement. "Oh fuck, this is going to hurt ..." He could already feel the charley horse he’d most likely have later.

Nick raised an eyebrow. "Who was bent like a fucking pretzel?" He shivered at the lust in Kevin’s eyes.

"You, and fuck you were so damn hot," Kevin leaned down to kiss Nick. Within seconds, the blonde had pulled Kevin down on top of him and wrapped their bodies together in an awkward position, half on the couch and half off.

"Some time I’m going to put you in a fucking weird position and fuck the shit out of you," Nick promised. He didn’t expect the flicker of excitement in Kevin’s eyes.

 "Promise," Kevin breathed.

 "Yeah I do."

 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Kevin had forgotten about Nick’s announcement to join the bowling league on Evergreen. At first he’d put it out of his head, figuring if he didn’t talk about it, he could forget about it. But when Nick failed to bring it up again, Kevin assumed he’d successfully convinced Nick of the absurdity of the idea. Until Thursday night, just before seven.

"Where are you going?" Kevin asked as Nick bounded down the stairs to the living room. Nick had stopped by after work for dinner and Kevin was under the assumption that they were going to watch Survivor. They weren’t officially living with each other, but Nick was over so often that Kevin figured it was just a matter of time before the blonde realized the inevitable.

Nick smiled and raised his eyebrows. With a shake of his head, he chuckled. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, where are you going? It looks like you’re leaving."

Nick slid his arms into his well worn jean jacket. He grabbed his wallet from the table on the foyer and slid it in the back pocket of his jeans. "Looks just about right," Nick said as he unhooked the keys and slid them into his jacket pocket. When he saw the confusion on Kevin’s face he rolled his eyes. "Are you kidding me?"

 "No. Wha....?"

"Bowling. Every Thursday night? Ring a bell? I told you that I joined the league and tonight’s my first game."

Kevin burst into laughter, which wiped the smile off of Nick’s face. "I thought you’d realize how stupid that was." Kevin’s laughter cut short as he saw the expression of anger on Nick’s face, not to mention the thin, tight line of Nick’s lips. "I ...guess not."

"Don’t wait up," Nick said in a controlled voice. Kevin knew he was holding back his anger.

"You going to be late?" Kevin asked, hopefully. Nick shook his head.

"No, I'm not coming back. Tonight. I’ll just go home afterwards."

Kevin figured that by the time his game ...or games, would be over, Nick would have gotten over his anger at Kevin. So he smiled brightly, hoping Nick saw the apology in his eyes. "Are you sure? Just come back here."

"I’ll call you." Nick said as he opened the door and stepped out. He slammed it behind him, storming off to the car.

Kevin flinched at the squeal of Nick’s tires as he backed up out of the driveway. Kevin had sorely misjudged the blonde and was left to think about the anger in Nick’s eyes as he’d stormed out of the house.

 ~*~*~*~*~*~

It was Saturday and Kevin still hadn’t heard from Nick. Rather than wait any longer for the blonde to call him, he dialed the familiar numbers to Nick’s cell phone. When Nick answered, it sounded like he was out somewhere with a lot of people.

 "Hello?"

 "Nicky? Can you hear me?"

"Kevin?" Nick said, raising his voice. A few guys from the bowling team had suggested they all get together on Saturday for wings and beer at a local pub so they could discuss the game a few nights before and just get to know each other a little better. Despite the evening’s rocky start, Nick had found that he’d had an unbelievably good time and was again thankful that he’d decided to join. "What’s up?"

Kevin ignored the sinking feeling in his stomach and rubbed his eyes. "You didn’t call, so I thought I’d see how you were doing."

"Been busy, I’m fine. How are you?"

 "I’m sorry. That’s how I am."

"Hold on a second," Nick said to Kevin on the line. Kevin heard him tell the people he was with that he’d take the call outside and be right back. Seconds later, the background noise lessened and Kevin took a deep breath. "Sorry, I couldn’t hear you well, and I didn’t want the whole place to hear.

"I just wanted to call and tell you I'm sorry for Thursday night. I..."

"It’s fine Kevin. You think it’s a stupid idea and that I'm stupid for joining and playing. You’re entitled to that opinion."

Kevin’s stomach churned nervously. "I don’t think you’re stupid," he argued. "Did ...did you have fun on Thursday?"

"I did. It was a good time. So good in fact, that a few of the guys suggested we get together today for drinks and stuff to talk. They’re a good group of guys."

"Oh. You had fun?" For some reason, Kevin was surprised at how good a time Nick had. And furthermore, that the team was spending more time together outside of the games.

"Of course I did Kevin. Why do you think I joined? To have a bad time? Jesus Christ Kevin. Why is this so hard for you to believe?"

 Kevin didn’t have an answer, he just didn’t know. "I ... I don’t know. I guess..."

"You’ve made your opinions on the whole thing clear Kevin. Don’t worry. I won’t bother you with it, and I won’t subject you to it. It’s not like I’m asking you to come with us and hang out. Or even worse play."

It was like a slap to the face and Kevin took a deep, shaky breath. "What, it’s not like other peoples’ boyfriends or girlfriends go. Right?" Nick’s short laugh was all Kevin needed to know.

"Right. Everyone else's significant other is as ignorant and selfish as mine. Don’t worry Kevin, I won’t burden you with this." Nick sighed and shook his head. He hated fighting with Kevin, but didn’t understand what the other man’s problem was. Finally, Nick knew he was going to have to get back inside to his friends. "Kev, when I’m done here, I’ll stop by all right? We won’t have to talk about bowling, or anything else that’s going to turn you into an asshole. Okay?"

Kevin gulped, holding back the response. He knew he was being given a break here, a gift of some sorts. So, despite the fact that Nick couldn’t see him, he nodded. "Okay. Thank you Nick."

"I’ll see you in a few hours." Nick ended the call and took a deep breath. When he was composed, he headed back to the table of men that were waiting for him.

"Who was that?" One asked. Nick rolled his eyes.

 "The boyfriend."

"Oooh, still haven’t called him after the fight on Thursday?" Another asked.

Nick shook his head. "No. I’m still kind of pissed. He was making fun of me for it again today, so we’ll see how this turns out." Nick gulped the rest of the beer in his pint before filling the glass again. His eyes met those of one of his teammates across the table, lingering longer than necessary. Nick’s lips curled into a shy smile and he ducked his head down. He forced himself to think about Kevin and how the evening would turn out.

 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Nick had been bowling for nearly two months and the two lovers had successfully managed to avoid fighting over it. Kevin had learned to curb his ridicule of the ‘sport’ and Nick had refused to speak about his Thursday night extra curricular all together.

It was just before six o’clock and Kevin was restless. He wanted to go out and do something, anything, but knowing that Nick was probably just making dinner and going to get ready to go to Evergreen, he knew that calling his boyfriend was out of the picture. Instead, he phoned his best friend.

"Josh? What are you up to tonight?" Kevin asked, when Josh answered the phone.

"Umm, I’ve got plans with Justin tonight. Why?"

"Well, I’m bored and Nick has his stupid bowling thing tonight, so he won’t want to do anything with me.."

"Are you still going on about that?" Josh asked, sounding annoyed. He’d endured many a conversation with Kevin about how silly Nick’s bowling league was and how he still couldn’t believe that the blonde had not only joined, but was so excited about it, even after all this time.

"God, not you too," Kevin sighed. It seemed that everyone thought he was being a pompous asshole, and he was starting to wonder if he’d really overreacted in mocking Nick so extensively.

"Yes, me too. But rather than fight with you, I’ll just tell you that I’m busy with Justin tonight."

"You see Justin all the time. Can’t you break your plans with him tonight and do something with me? How often do I call you to hang out?" Kevin argued. He heard Josh cluck his tongue on the roof of his tongue and sigh.

"You’re right. Let me just talk to J for a second."

Kevin held on while Josh put the phone down and went to talk to his boyfriend. He was back a few minutes later.

"What do you want to do?" Josh asked. Kevin’s lips curled into a giant grin.

"We can decide when you get here. Justin doesn’t mind?"

Josh chuckled. "No, it’s all good. I’ll be over around seven. And don’t eat, we’ll get something out."

They said their good-byes and Kevin headed up to his room to put on something adequate to go out in. He left Nick a voice mail to let him know he’d be out for the night and that he hoped he had fun with the guys that night.

 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

The following Thursday, Kevin called Josh again. "I was thinking, that maybe Thursday night could be a night we did something. Like, every week while Nick’s out doing his thing, we could.."

Josh’s laughter cut him off. "Dude, I can’t."

 "But we did last week."

"I know, but I broke plans with Justin to hang out with you. And while he didn’t mind the once, to do it every week is kind of shabby of me."

Kevin frowned. He didn’t understand what the big deal with Thursday nights were.

"Maybe we could do things on like, Wednesday nights or something, if you really want to hang out on a weekly basis," Josh offered.

"No, there’s no point. Nick’s free on Wednesdays... I usually just hang out with him. That’s what this was perfect, he’s busy and so I thought we’d do something."

"Fuck you," Josh laughed. "Making time for me when everyone else important is busy."

"Fuck off," Kevin groaned. "It’s not just that..."

"If you’re so bored on Thursdays, why don’t you just go with him. Maybe you’ll have a good time? Who knows?"

"Bowling? Have a good time bowling? I doubt it," Kevin scoffed.

"Maybe you’d have a good time because you’d be with him," Josh offered. "And you never know, it might be fun."

"Yeah. I’ll think about that." Kevin had no intention of doing so. "Fine. I’ll talk to you later."

Kevin resigned himself to sitting home alone, watching TV. Thoughts on Nick and the fun he was probably having. Bowling. Once again, Kevin wondered if he’d misjudged his boyfriends’ idea.

 ~*~*~*~*~*~*

The following Thursday, Kevin called Nick on his lunch. "You’re still going bowling tonight, right?" He asked. His stomach was fluttering nervously and he had to wipe his sweaty palms on his legs. He heard a hitch in his boyfriend’s breathing and prayed that Nick didn’t blow up at him.

"Right. It’s Thursday night Kevin. I go every week..."

"I’m just wondering.." Kevin interrupted, causing Nick to stop mid sentence. "...if people bring ..people..."

"What?" Nick laughed. "What do you mean?"

Kevin took a deep breath and started again. "Do people on your team bring ...other people? Like, to watch or hang out?"

"Why? Do you want to come?" Nick laughed so hard that a snort escaped, which only made him laugh harder. "Yeah, Kevin Richardson, lowering himself to visit a bowling alley, on league night..."

"Yeah, I ...guess I do want to come.." Kevin said softly. "If it’s okay."

Nick’s laughter stopped immediately. "What?" He must have misheard Kevin, because it sounded like Kevin was asking if he could go with him. "You what?"

"I want to come with you. To ...watch you bowl and ..."

"If you’re trying to make fun of me again..."

 "I’m not."

"If you plan on coming and being miserable all night..."

"I won’t. I promise." Kevin held his breath that he could keep that promise. He wondered if they should take separate cars in case he had to leave, but knew it would upset Nick if he did and explained the reason. When Nick didn’t respond, Kevin cleared his throat. "I promise. I’ll behave. No jokes, no being miserable. I want to come and watch."

 "Why?"

The question shouldn’t have stung as much as it did, but Kevin knew that Nick was entitled in asking. "Because I want to be with you. I want to spend some time with you, and I know how important this is to you. So I thought that I would come and ...maybe see why you love it so much."

"Are you... Are you kidding me?" There was hope and a little excitement in Nick’s voice, which awed Kevin. The fact that he was that interested in Nick’s social life, in anything that Nick was into meant so much to him, and Kevin felt even worse about how he’d been acting the past few months.

"If you don’t want me to come..."

"Oh god. I’ve been wanting you to come and meet everyone for three months now Kevin. I’ve wanted to be able to share this with you the whole time, and ...just ...have you there with me. But you’ve ..."
Kevin was starting to feel tension build behind his eyes and his hands were trembling. He knew he’d been the biggest asshole of a boyfriend and it was time to start making it up to Nick. "I’ve been a complete asshole. And ..I’m sorry Nick. But I want to come with you."

"I’ll pick you up at seven and we’ll head over afterwards. I have stuff at home I have to get, I wasn’t expecting..."

"I know, baby. I’ll be ready."

The entire day, Kevin’s stomach was in knots. He couldn’t erase the sound of excitement in Nick’s voice when Kevin had asked if he could come with him, and knew that no matter what happened, he was going to make this night work. Even if he was so bored he wanted to throw himself in front of a hard rolled bowling ball.

Kevin wore faded jeans, running shoes and a long sleeved tee shirt when Nick stopped by to pick him up. Nick suggested that Kevin bring a hoodie as sometimes the alleys were well air conditioned. Within minutes, they were driving through the streets towards the bowling alley.

"Thank you again for wanting to come," Nick said as they headed through the parking lot to the front doors. "I mean, you’ve always been welcome to join me, but I’ve never asked because I know how you feel about it."

"Well, something Josh said last week triggered something in me..."

Nick’s eyes widened and Kevin saw him pale slightly. "Wh..what did he say?"

 Kevin fronwed. "Are you okay?"

Nick nodded and clasped Kevin’s hand in his. "Y..yeah. Just curious as to what he could have said to change your mind."

"Just that if I’m so bored on Thursday nights that I have to resort to calling him, I should maybe just come with you. And then I thought, why not. Right?"

Nick’s laugh was more relaxed and he led Kevin into the building and up the stairs to where the alleys were located. Minutes later Nick had obtained a pair of size 10 bowling shoes and had picked out his favourite ball. After one look to the giant chart on the wall, he smiled. Nick looked at his watch and tugged on Kevin’s hand. "Come on, we’re on lane 18. We’ve got about ten minutes before we start."

Kevin looked around the expansive bowling alley, surprised at how full it was. There were about forty lanes, every single one full. He could see people of all ages, races and genders. Some were playing, others listening to the music and dancing, but all were laughing and having a great time. Something inside of Kevin clicked and he once again, felt remorse at his attitude regarding Nick’s decision to join the league. There was an overwhelming aroma of french fries, onion rings and searing meat in the air and Kevin’s stomach grumbled hungrily.

Their eyes met and Kevin saw Nick smiling at him. "We can get something to eat if you’d like. It’s actually really good here."

Kevin stole a glance at the menu, his mouth watered instantly.

Chili dogs. Banquet burgers. Poutine. Onion rings. Steak on a bun. Hoagies. Milk shakes. Kevin was definitely hungry, despite having a light dinner earlier.

 "Okay."

Nick tightened his hold on Kevin’s hand and pulled him close, kissing his lips gently. "Thank you again for coming tonight. Even if you hate it and never want to come again, it means a lot to me that you came now. That you..."

"Love you enough to come and watch you. I wish I had have done it three months ago," Kevin admitted, kissing Nick back. Their tongues were gently stroking one another when someone pushed against them, walking right between them.

Kevin was about to start a brawl with the asshole who felt the need to barrel right through them when Nick’s chuckle broke through Kevin’s rage.

"What the.." Kevin said, looking to his right, where the person was standing, watching him.

"Well, do my eyes deceive me? Is that Kevin "I’m too Anal Retentive To Have An Open Mind" Richardson?"

Kevin’s jaw dropped. Before him stood Justin Timberlake, in a matching shirt to Nick’s. Holding a pair of bowling shoes in one hand, a ball in the other. When he looked at Nick, the blonde shrugged. Before Kevin could respond, someone else approached them.

"Jesus, I can’t believe you took my advice."

Kevin gasped. He opened and closed his mouth like a fish. There were no words to accompany his shock. Josh had joined them, a wide, knowing grin on his face.

"What the shit?" Kevin finally said.

"Come on, we can chat in a minute. We’ve got two minutes to get the line up on the board and start playing or we forfeit." Another voice broke into their group. Kevin looked over to see a short man with a multitude of tattoos looking at them. Nick kissed Kevin’s jaw and scurried over to the bench to put his shoes on. The other team was waiting for them to begin. Looking around, the whole team was in attendance.

"What the shit?" Kevin responded, this time to Josh. Justin and Nick were engaged in a ‘pre game meeting’ with their team.

 "So you came."

"Yeah, I thought about what you said... Why didn’t you tell me..."

 "What?"

"That ...you’ve been coming to this? To bowling?"

 "You never asked."

Kevin glared at his best friend. Josh shrugged unappologetically. "You didn’t."

 "Why didn’t Nick tell me?"

"From what I heard, you didn’t want to hear anything where it was concerned. The first time he mentioned it, you fucked him so damn hard that he couldn’t even think about anything else and thought that it would be enough to make him forget about it. And then on the Thursday, you two had such a big fight about it, that he left and didn’t talk to you until Saturday when you called."

Kevin thought back to a few months ago. He hadn’t told Josh about any of that fight, and figured that Nick had told Justin who had told Josh.

"We were there, when you called. We were there that night when he showed up and was so pissed off that he could barely even throw the ball straight. The guys were worried, it was his first game and Justin swore that Nick was cool. And then he came and was a gutter whore. Thankfully he pulled himself together in time, but ...yeah..."

"And who is this?" Someone asked, approaching the two men. Kevin looked to see a short girl with bright red lips and white blonde hair smiling at him.

"Kevin. Nick’s boyfriend," Josh introduced the two. "Kevin, this is Christina, AJ’s girlfriend."

"So he does exist," Christina teased. "Nicky’s been telling us he has this hot man at home, but you’ve never come out to watch us play, and you haven’t ever come out to the bar, so we figured he was making you up."

"I’ve never really been ..." Kevin was about to say invited, but he realized that it wasn’t any of these peoples’ business why he hadn’t come, and why Nick hadn’t told him about their get togethers. Kevin didn’t blame Nick at all for not inviting him and he knew that it was time to pull his head out of his ass. That time actually, had long since passed.

"He’s got a pretty busy schedule," Josh filled in. "But I think that the class he was previously taking is ended, so now he can start joining us on Thursday nights. Right Kev?"

Kevin nodded. The music became louder and it was as if a fresh scent of food assaulted his nose, making everything even more vivid. He couldn’t believe he’d wasted two months of Thursday nights alone when he could have been here, hanging out with Nick, Josh and Justin, and their friends.

"You two know each other?" She asked, clearly surprised. "You didn’t say you knew Nick’s boyfriend..."

"Chrissy..." Nick called loudly to get the blonde’s attention. "You’re up!"

When they were alone, Kevin glared at his best friend. "They didn’t know you knew about me...?" He asked. Josh shook his head.

"No, when Nick explained to the guys why you never came..."

 "But she asked..."

"Oh, he’d just told J, me, Alex, Joey and Brian. The girls don’t usually come to the bar on Saturday afternoons. It’s boys day out... They usually go for manicures and stuff like that. But yeah, when he’d told them about you, I didn’t want to admit I was friends with you."

Kevin would have argued, except he knew he deserved it. "Right."

"But you’re here now and that’s a big step. Now come on, we’ve gotta go get something to eat. I’m starving."

Two hours later, the final game was done. Nick and Justin’s team had won the last game and the team was all celebrating. Kevin was drunk on happiness and being content. He couldn’t ignore the excited glow on Nick’s skin.

"You need to come every week," the man introduced to Kevin as Brian stated. "Nick hasn’t played this well in..."

 "Ever," Justin teased.

Everyone joined in, laughing and joking except for one person. Kevin noticed Joey watching him with a look of contempt and dislike. The gang was all standing around, talking and making plans to meet up on Saturday afternoon when Kevin asked Josh about it.

 "What’s Joey’s problem?"

Josh smiled. He tried to hide it but was unsuccessful. "Well, he has a bit of a thing for your boyfriend."

Kevin’s eyes narrowed and he glared at the other man, who was engaged in a very animated conversation with Nick. "What?"

"Not that Nick has done anything to encourage him. But he ...he’s very open and forthcoming with his attraction for Nick and I think he enjoyed having the time alone with him on Thursday nights. Saturdays too."

"Why hasn’t Nick said anything?" Kevin questioned. It was clear that the attraction was one sided, and Kevin felt his stomach somersault with love for the blonde.

"Because he figures if he can ignore it, it will go away. He’s explained to Joey, who by the way, is really a good guy, that he’s involved and very happy, but Joey still ... I think he’s still hoping that he’ll have his chance with Nick."

"Fuck, I can’t believe I've been so stupid." He rubbed his forehead with the palm of his hand. Kevin looked at his boyfriend who was watching him curiously. It was then that he noticed Nick in his team bowling shirt, baggy jeans and bowling shoes. He’d been wrong, Nick was able to make those shoes look sexy. And as hot as Nick looked in the bowling attire, Kevin wanted him out of it.

"Did you guys want to go out for a drink or something?" Justin asked as he joined Kevin and Josh. He thread his fingers with Josh’s and smiled at Kevin.

Nick followed Justin and took his place with Kevin. He gently kissed Kevin’s jaw and smiled as his boyfriend’s arms wrapped around his body. "What do you say? Wanna hang out with them a bit longer?"

 "No." Kevin stated. "I don’t."

"Oh," the three men said at the same time, slightly surprised.

"You ..don’t?" Josh asked. He and Nick exchanged a glance and he shrugged. Worry flashed in Nick’s eyes.

"I don’t. I want to take you home, and..." Nick recognized the heat in Kevin’s stare and realized it wasn’t anger but passion that had him looking so intense. His body relaxed somewhat and he smiled.

"Okay, they don’t need to know the rest."

"Damn right," Justin snorted. He was glad that Kevin had finally realized what an idiot he was being and started making things right with Nick. Justin had suggested that Nick right out tell Kevin that they were going to be there, but Nick said that every time he’d tried, Kevin would start to ridicule him and that it wasn’t worth it. "Are you coming next week?"

Kevin nodded. "Damn right I am."

"And Saturday?" Brian asked as he threw the last of his things into his duffle bag. "You should join us at the pub on Saturday for wings and beer."

Kevin looked at Nick for direction, pleased at the grin on his boyfriend’s face.

"Yeah, come with us," Nick whispered. Kevin’s body hummed with excitement.

 "I’m there."

 "Good."

The group said good-bye to one another and Kevin lead Nick towards the car. Before the blonde slid into the passenger side, Kevin pressed him against the car door. "I’m sorry for being such an asshole."

Nick took a moment to seriously think about what he wanted to say before speaking. "I just didn’t understand what the big deal was."

Kevin nodded. "Neither do I, to be honest with you. It just ...seemed so lame and ...I never really took it seriously."

"Well, thank you." Nick pressed their lips together, kissing Kevin tenderly. "It means a lot to me that you ...well that you worked past whatever issue you were having." He licked gingerly into Kevin’s mouth, pleased with the whimper that resulted. "And ...I need you to know how much I love you."

"Let me take you home, you can show me there," Kevin whispered.

"Home..." Nick whispered. He looked deep into Kevin’s eyes and smiled. Everything clicked into place. "Take me home. And we’ll talk about something... But ..." He nibbled on Kevin’s lips before continuing. "After I show you how much I love you."

Kevin's stomach flipped excitedly. Within seconds, they were peeling out of the parking lot, towards his house. There were so many images flashing through Kevin’s brain. The excitement on Nick’s face every single time he’d catch Kevin’s eye that night. The way Joey had been looking at Nick and the close proximity he continually kept to the blonde. But mostly the way Nick had just told Kevin to take him home, and he’d meant Kevin’s house.

"Do you really want me to come on Saturday?" Kevin asked softly. He squeezed Nick’s thigh affectionately. There were cases when having separate friends was a good thing for a relationship, and Kevin didn’t want Nick feeling like he was infringing on his life in any way.

"If you want to come," Nick said, getting worried. He wondered if Kevin was rethinking everything and changing his mind. It made his chest hurt with worry. "I mean..."

"No," Kevin said, cutting Nick off. He knew where Nick’s frame of mind was going and he was wrong. "Not that I don’t want to come, I really had fun with your friends tonight. Even when they weren’t bowling, they were still really nice, talking to Josh and I. But ..these are your friends... And maybe you don’t want me..."

"No, I do. I really want you to come. I always want you to be a part of my life, with my friends."

Kevin smiled and easily maneuvered them into his driveway. "Okay, good. I just wanted to make sure."

They were silent as they entered the house, and both men immediately headed up to the bedroom. Nick waited until Kevin had partially undressed when he attacked. Kevin laughed as he was pushed onto the bed. The laughter turned into a long, drawn out moan as Nick gently licked and nipped his way up Kevin’s stomach and chest. When he reached his boyfriend’s mouth, he devoured him in a steamy, erotic kiss.

"You don’t know how much it means to me that you came out tonight..." Nick mumbled between kisses. "How much I fucking love you, and ...even if you had have had a bad time and said you’d never come again, that you tried."

It took so little for Kevin to make Nick happy, and he felt like an asshole for making such a big deal in the first place. These were the little things that Nick did to make Kevin a better person. He taught him, without even realizing it, patience and compromise. Kevin had always been so used to being the dominant force in his relationships that it was a change of pace to have someone challenge him the way Nick did it. And he loved him all the more for it.

"I’d do anything for you, Nick," Kevin admitted. "I can’t say that I’ve ever felt like that for anyone else, but I do for you. And I’m more sorry than anything that I was such an asshole for so long. Your friends are so great."

"You’re not just saying that because Josh and Justin were there, are you?" Nick had wondered if part of Kevin’s reasoning for coming again and trying to make it work was because his best friend had been there as well.

After careful deliberation, Kevin shook his head. "No. I mean, it was great to see them there, and I was surprised, but no. It’s you. I kept looking up and seeing how happy you were, bowling and hanging out with your friends ...although, I have to point out that Joey better recognize that he can look, but that’s it."

Nick blushed and giggled as he pressed his face into Kevin’s throat. "He’s just.."

"Lusting after you hard-core, I saw it with my own eyes. And Josh..."

"Shhhh," Nick whispered against Kevin’s throat. "It’s okay. I love you. Only you."

 "You better."

"I do," Nick promised. He licked his lips and removed the rest of his and Kevin’s clothing, leaving them both naked. Looking down at Kevin’s body, his mouth watered. "I love you so much, that I was thinking ..."

"Y..yeah?" Kevin stuttered. Nick had started stroking his erection idly as they spoke. Kevin was laying flat on his back while Nick straddled his hips. "What were you th...thinking?"

"That maybe ... You have a lot of room here, right? For maybe ...two people?"

Kevin’s stomach fluttered and his heart soared. "Fuck, yes.." Kevin’s eyes shut and he tightened his grip on Nick’s thighs.

"And ...you haven’t said anything but..."

"I want you to move in with me," Kevin said quickly. He leaned up to kiss Nick hungrily. "I have wanted you to move in for so long."

"I think I'm ready. I thought about it for the past few days, and then today when you called me ... I knew it was time. If you could call me up, admit that you were ...."

 "Wrong," Kevin supplied.

"Wrong," Nick agreed. "And ask if you could come with me and make the sacrifice ...it’s time. I want us to live together."

"Shit," Kevin yelped. He came, shooting all over his chest and Nick’s hand. His toes were curled and his back arched. At the feel of Nick’s tongue on his chest, Kevin’s eyes fluttered open. He watched Nick lap up his come and ran his fingers through the blonde’s spiky hair. "Come here, please.." Kevin whispered.

Nick kissed Kevin hard, transferring the taste of his come to his own mouth. Kevin licked hungrily as he wrapped his legs around Nick’s waist.
"I want that too. I want you to move in here."

 "When?" Nick asked.

 "Now."

Nick looked up and smiled. "Okay. We’ll start bringing the stuff over tomorrow night. And then Sunday."

 "Not Saturday?" Kevin asked.

"We’re meeting everyone on Saturday," Nick reminded Kevin. "But we can deal with that after. Right now ...we’re busy."

Nick raised one of Kevin’s knees slightly before changing his mind. He gently nudged Kevin’s hip.

 "Roll over, Babe."

Kevin did so without question. He propped a pillow under his hips and shivered as he felt Nick drop gentle kisses down his spine to a path to his ass.

"No condom tonight," Kevin pleaded. "Just you."

Nick’s pleased groan echoed in the otherwise silent room. "Okay."

Kevin held his breath as Nick prepared him. There was no teasing, no playing around. Nick was serious and Kevin felt anticipation build in his body. Before long, he could feel Nick moving into place and felt a pressure against his ass.

"Ready?" Nick asked with a whisper.

 "Yes."

 "I love you."

 "I love you."

Nick pressed a kiss to Kevin’s shoulder before pushing in, stretching him to full capacity. The blonde whispered words of love and desire, almost inaudible to Kevin’s ears which were filled with the sound of blood rushing through his body. He felt beautiful, used, full, loved. In a surprising move, Nick took one hand and thread his fingers with Kevin’s, over his head. His other hand was firmly rooted on Kevin’s hip, their bodies perfectly aligned.

And then Nick started moving. Controlled, calculated thrusts, pulling out and then shoving back in, scraping Kevin’s prostate hungrily, demanding pleasure and an orgasm that Nick was determined to share with his lover.
Finally, it all came to be too much for Kevin. "Nicky, not much longer."

"Tell me when, Baby. Been waiting for you. Holding off for you to come."

Kevin arched back and spread his legs just a little more. Nick shifted and changed the angle which he was thrusting at. Without warning, Kevin came, a shocked and surprised gasp escaped his lips.

 "FUCK!"

"Damn," Nick echoed, letting himself succumb to his own orgasm. Finally, they lay in a gasping heap, attempting to catch their breath. Their bodies were tangled together erotically, mirroring smiles on their faces.

"So ..." Kevin finally said. He was clutching Nick tight, as if not to let him go. Ever. "You’re really moving in?" He wanted confirmation. He received that in Nick’s smile.

"I’m really moving in." Nick promised with a gentle kiss.

 "Forever?"

"You’ll never get rid of me now."

Kevin let his whole body relax and kissed the top of Nick’s head. "Good."
