Introduction
Hey everyone,
Now, if you're on a few lists with me you'll realize that I'm only sending the introduction to MY personal groups. Gotta give you guys some perks of being here ! Hehehe (I'm such a nerd ). But seriously, it's just something that I wanted to send out before actually sending the story but I'm not sure that it would be as well received on other lists. Just a bit of insight of where my mind has been at while writing and just rambling on my part. LOL!
So this is a story that I"ve been working on for over a month now. I started it unsure of where it was going to go, or what I was going to do and now, a month later I'm finally at the ending point of it (just finishing the prologue as we speak). I can't remember where I came up with this idea or what possessed me to start writing it. My guess is that I was just day dreaming and my mind began to wander, and the concept came to me. A rich kid/poor man. Star crossed lovers a la dirty dancing without the cheese (thank you very much!!! ... 'nobody puts Baby in the corner' sorry.. couldn't help myself ).
I figured it would be either Timbernick or Nick/Kev (seeing that's my main focus on longer stories), but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that JuKe fit it perfectly. Yes, you read that correctly, it is a JuKe centred fic. (and psst. Nick's straight ). I can hear countless cheers as well as countless cringes throughout the masses. Either you're gonna love it or hate it. I'm interested to see what people think. LOL.
But like I said, the more I thought about the story, the more it played out in my mind, the more I realized that it was a great JuKe storyline. So with that in mind, I started writing. And to be honest with you, I only put Nick's name once or twice throughout the whole story in the wrong place, so I was very proud of myself. Writing Nick as a main character is just second nature to me, and so I knew I was bound to make a mistake or two. LOL. Don't get me wrong, he's in there. Oh man, can you imagine me writing a story without him at least being in there somehow? That would be a sight to see!
But days before I'd started writing the story, I had changed the wallpaper on my desktop. It is the Justin picture that is attatched. Since that day, it's been my inspiration to keep writing it. (It's one of my favourite pictures of him ). My muses have just fed upon it, seeing that he is just the dreamiest! Yes, I said dreamiest!! LOL. But yeah, my muses have been rather happy with that Justin picture. And I guess I wanted to share that picture with you because in the story, that is how I pictured him. And I've also included a picture of Kevin (which you might recognize from the JWR calandar... Someone had sent me caps from it and it just screams how Kevin looked in my mind for this story... god I love that long hair ). So if you want to know how they looked in my head, there it is!
This story is by far the most emotional story I've written. Or at least I think so anyways. It beats "If You're Gone' of Fetish by a long shot as well as "Saving The Best For Last', just because there are so many different emotional aspects of it. There were a few times I had to actually take a break because I was just getting too emotionally invested in the story and the characters. I let my fingers just do the talking, most of the time clearing my mind of everything except the characters and allowing for it to go on it's own. I wasn't expecting it to be as long as it is, and am actually rather proud at my patience with it. It's been a long time coming, and rather than rush it to just get it done and sent to the lists, I took the time to allow the storyline to fully progress and go in directions I hadn't thought it would. All in all, I'm really happy with it! Now, if I could just get the Epilogue done (I hate ending stories... I'm just so cheese at it!!) I'll be a happy camper!! But I think it's at a point where I can send it and let it go! LOL...
So thank you for listening to me ramble. I hope you will enjoy the story when I send it (in a few minutes LOL)! And I guess I just want to thank you all yet again for being here. It means a lot to me that you like my stories enough to be on a list where its' only the stories. Thank you for the feedback as well, it's great to know how I'm doing and what people think about what I'm writing. Sometimes, I just don't know if I'm out on the limb by myself or other people are out there thinking 'wow.. I get it!'. So with that said, thanks again and take care,
